A Very Special Homecoming – San Diego Event Photographer
Since I love documentary photography, I’ve always wanted to do a military homecoming. Since we have so many military families in San Diego I didn’t have to wait long for the opportunity to arise. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer family. I was so honored to photograph this special moment for Abe and Dani. It filled my heart with joy to see them reunited and gave me a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices our servicemen and women make for our freedom. Abe was deployed for seven months and while he was gone, he missed out on seeing his son’s first steps. Because he was born with Spina Bifida and they were told he would never walk, this was such a bittersweet moment. And let me tell you, little Troy was all smiles when he saw his daddy. Welcome home, Abe! We civilians appreciate you so much.
