What I Love about Martin Johnson House As a Wedding Photographer
As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing countless memories at Martin Johnson House in La Jolla. One of the best things about this venue is its affordability, especially considering its stunning ocean views. The nearby suspension bridge and ocean overlooks provide plenty of photo opportunities, and the shade from the cypress trees is a lifesaver for midday portraits. Plus, the sunset views are absolutely breathtaking.
Indoor and Outdoor Features
Inside, you’ll find a small kitchenette and ADA-compliant bathrooms for convenience. Outside, the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Scripps Pier set the scene for a magical day. The rustic cottage and multi-level decks are perfect for cocktail hour and receptions, while the spacious lawn beneath swaying cypress trees is ideal for saying your vows.
Accommodations
The exterior upper and lower deck can comfortably accommodate up to 130 people
